• “Fue pisoteado por un oveja”

Sooooo today in Spanish class, we had a bunch of cards with random questions and went around in small groups answering them in Spanish, just to get us talking and listening and the like. It was me and three other girls (all very nice), and one of the questions was something along the lines of “What makes you different that everyone else?” So we went around in a circle; one girl said she’s gluten-free so that makes her different, one girl says she loves loves loves running.

It was the next girls’ turn, and she tries saying something in Spanish, and we were all pretty confused since she had some trouble choosing which words she wanted to use. So then we were like “what’re you talking about?” and then she says, with a completely serious face, “I was trampled by a sheep.” And all of us just start cracking. up. It was freaking hilarious, the way she said it so bluntly, and we were just like WHAT?!?!?! And then so the profesora comes over and we ask her how to say “I was trampled by a sheep” in Spanish, so she tells us that it’s: Fue pisoteado por un oveja. I decided that I shouldn’t answer the question, because nothing could come after that; it was just too fantastic.

After that, we couldn’t get through any more questions without one person randomly bursting out with laughter (obviously thinking back to the sheep story), which made the whole group follow with the laughs. Oh goodness, laughter to the point of tears is a great way to start the day :3

happiness begins when selfishness ends.

Sasha Meyer. I'm a college freshman at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon, but an original Southern California girl. I love making music, listening to music, and using it as my medicine and best friend when everything else seems to be falling apart. I hate unnecessary drama. I love the rain. Some people would say I'm quirky, and they're probably right. I like to do what makes me happy. I admire John Wooden, and whenever I'm upset with someone, something, or myself, I refer to his book which opens my eyes and makes me love again. My parents and my two older sisters are my role models. I appreciate the little things that people do. I love kids, and my dream is to be an elementary school teacher by day, and play in a community orchestra by night. I take things for granted, but I'm trying to stop. I don't believe you can ever laugh "too much."
